Lohri, a festival of warmth and joy, was an emotional affair for Charan Kaur, the mother of the late Punjabi icon Sidhu Moosewala. She took to social media to honor her son’s memory while celebrating the first Lohri of her newborn son, Shubhdeep Singh, fondly called 'Chota Sidhu.'
Her heartfelt note read: "With your return, I not only realized that I am still breathing, but I also applied balm to my sorrow with the fate of the Satguru in my womb. Son, I have come to know this with the justice done by God, that the attempts to destroy someone will end here."
Charan Kaur expressed gratitude for her son, who she believes embodies her late son’s spirit and strength. Referring to him as a “fierce lion,” she shared her hopes for Shubhdeep to inherit the wisdom and bravery that Sidhu Moosewala was celebrated for.
She added: "Happy first Lohri to my little Shubh from my big Shubh and from all the brothers and sisters who wish him happiness all over the world. My prayer is that you too become wise and courageous like your big brother."
Sidhu Moosewala, whose groundbreaking music won him international acclaim, tragically passed away in 2022. His family now finds solace in the arrival of his nephew, a symbol of hope and continuity.
This Lohri marks both a tribute to Sidhu Moosewala’s enduring legacy and the joyous beginning of a new chapter with 'Chota Sidhu' carrying forward his uncle’s spirit.
