Singer Kanika Kapoor has confirmed that her marriage to Gautam Hathiramani has come to an end, announcing their decision to part ways after four years together. The singer shared the development through an Instagram Story, requesting privacy and understanding as both move ahead separately.

In her message, Kanika said the decision was taken after considerable thought and mutual consideration. She expressed gratitude for the time they had spent together and wished her husband well for the future. She also appealed to friends, family members and the public to respect their privacy during this period.

The announcement has brought attention to the singer's personal life, particularly her journey through two marriages. Before marrying Gautam, Kanika was married to businessman Raj Chandok. The former couple tied the knot in 1998, when she was 18, and later settled in London. They have three children together: daughters Aayana and Samara, and son Yuvraaj. Their marriage ended in 2012, after which Kanika returned to India to focus on building her music career.

Kanika had previously spoken about her long-standing connection with Gautam, revealing that the two had known each other for nearly 15 years and shared a close friendship before becoming romantically involved.

In earlier interviews, she had also recalled taking the initiative to propose marriage to him twice, first in 2014 and again in 2020. Gautam eventually proposed to her in August 2021, and the couple exchanged wedding vows on May 20, 2022, at a ceremony held in London.

On the professional front, Kanika Kapoor established herself in the Indian music industry with several popular Bollywood tracks. Her collaborations with composers Meet Bros and Dr Zeus include well-known songs such as 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' from Roy, 'Desi Look' from Ek Paheli Leela, 'Nachan Farrate' from All Is Well and 'Da Da Dasse' from Udta Punjab.

While the singer has now shared an important update about her personal life, she has asked for space and respect as she begins a new chapter.
