Punjabi singers not only awake with fame and praise but sometimes they have to face hatred and negativity. And recently one of the Punjabi artists came up and spoke about one of the major problems he has been facing for five months. We are speaking about ‘Sheh’ fame Singga.
Yes, you read that right. Singga has been facing threats and he has also been blackmailed by a few people. The artist took to his Instagram and came live where he disclosed that on August 10, he was returning from his Gym and during that time his lawyer called him that an FIR had been registered in Kapurthala.
After 3-4 days, another FIR under section 295(A) was registered in Ajnala over the same song. While interacting with viewers, he revealed, “I am not against any religion. Even right now, I am in front of Gurdwara Sohana Sahib. I have always respected all religions, whether I am alone or with someone else."
So, when his lawyer said that an FIR had been registered against him he was okay with that but if he had done something wrong. “But, what if these FIRs are being registered for blackmailing? I present this truth in front of the world. It's a tradition here that if you file an FIR under Section 295, then you can ask for Rs 10 lakh from him. I have been asked for Rs 10 lakh after registering an FIR against me. Then they say that we respect all the religions and that we are giving youth a good direction," he further added.
He also spilt out that he had all the proof regarding this blackmail. And also the consequences have been faced by his parents. He said that his father was very upset and scolded him. Singga added, "I have been blackmailed and asked for Rs 10 lakh. That is also fine. I can tolerate it but my father faced a lot. That's why I wanted to present the truth. It's been five months and no inquiry has been done. If there had been an inquiry then I would have not talked about it."
He also said he has received several threats and that's why he named 21 people in an email. If anything happens to the singer or his parents then he would make sure all of them will surely face consequences. He said many other Punjabi artists were blackmailed and given money but he has done nothing wrong so he has all the proof and will not give a single penny to blackmailers.
He concluded his video by requesting Punjab’s CM Bhagwant Mann and his wife Dr Gurpreet Kaur. He said, "How would you feel if your kid were blackmailed over a false FIR? Therefore, I request you to please initiate an inquiry on it. I will submit all the proofs that I have as my family can't deal with it anymore. I can't see my father like this."
Gangster culture has been increasing in Punjab. As we all know Sidhu Moose Wala was also murdered in daylight. So, his followers and loved ones stand with Singga and request the upper management to take strict actions.
