The completion of the second lockdown in the wake of the novel COVID-19 pandemic across the nation saw the opening of liquor shops in many parts of the country yesterday.
Right from queuing outside liquor stores in the morning to celebrating the development by bursting crackers, people didn't shy away from expressing their excitement with respect to getting to consume alcohol.
While consuming alcohol is a personal decision which needs to be respected, the same coming at a cost of openly flouting social distancing norms and putting many people's health at stake deserves severe criticism in these frightful times.

Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa and singer-turned-actor Ammy Virk engaged in a hilarious Twitter conversation to express concern over long queues for liquor. It all started after Bajwa took to her Twitter account during late evening to express her thoughts with respect to crowded liquor shops.
"Social media te video dhekiyan Vine shops de baar enni line , inna katth Bas vekh ke jyada taan haini kuch bolan nu. Mathe te hath maaran vaali emoji bani ki nahi halle???? It was at this time that Virk responded to Bajwa's tweet to answer that he has found the emoji. Bajwa then expressed the need for a Punjabi facepalm to express her "feeling".

As far as their line of work is concerned, Bajwa was last seen in Pankaj Batra's 'Jinde Meriye'. On the other hand, Virk was last seen in Jagdeep Sidhu's 'Sufna'.
As an on-screen couple, Bajwa and Virk have been part of three successful movies in 'Nikka Zaildar' (2016), 'Nikka Zaildar 2' (2017) and 'Muklawa' (2019).
