Sonu Sood Responds to Reports of Arrest Warrant Being Issued Against Him

Actor Sonu Sood has addressed recent reports regarding an arrest warrant issued against him in a fraud case, calling the news exaggerated and claiming it has been blown out of proportion.

“We need to clarify that the information circulating on social media is sensationalized. To set the record straight, we were summoned as witnesses by the Honourable Court in a matter related to a third party, with which we have no connection. Our lawyers have responded, and on February 10, 2025, we will provide a statement affirming our non-involvement in the issue. We are neither brand ambassadors nor associated in any way. This is merely an attempt to attract unnecessary media attention. It’s unfortunate that celebrities become easy targets. We will take strong action regarding this matter,” Sood stated.

His clarification comes after reports that a court in Ludhiana issued an arrest warrant due to Sood's failure to attend court proceedings as a summoned witness. The court has instructed authorities to arrest him and bring him before the court. Sonu Sood was last seen in the action thriller “Fateh,” which marked his directorial debut.
