Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, who earned widespread admiration for his humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 crisis, has now turned his attention to helping those impacted by the recent floods in Punjab. Hailing from Moga, Punjab, himself, Sood has made a heartfelt commitment to stand with his home state during this difficult time.
On Monday, Sood shared a video message on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing solidarity with flood-hit communities. “I’m with Punjab,” he said. “Those affected by this disaster are not alone. We’ll work together to help every person recover and rebuild. If anyone needs assistance, please reach out. We’ll do everything in our power to support you. Punjab is my soul — and I won’t back down, even if it means putting everything on the line. We are Punjabis, and we never give up.”
In a separate post, Sood emphasized the plight of farmers, pointing out how crucial livestock is to their livelihood. “For farmers, cattle aren’t just animals — they’re their survival. The floods have taken that from them. It’s our collective duty — as individuals and as a nation — to ensure that every family regains what they’ve lost. It’s not just about financial aid, it’s about restoring dignity.”
Sood has also urged the public to step forward and contribute to relief efforts, encouraging everyone to play a role in helping Punjab recover. “Anyone in need should feel free to contact us,” he added. “Together, we can bring Punjab back on its feet.”
