A trailer which released in the morning has been since doing the rounds since is of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Surkhi Bindi'. Coming on the back of blockbuster success of 'Shadaa' this year, this will be director Jagdeep Sidhu's third Punjabi movie.

What makes it contrary to his first two releases in 'Qismat' and Shadaa is the fact that this is the first time he has worked solely as a director and not as a writer-director. The story, screenplay and dialogue of the movie have been written by Rupinder Inderjit, who wrote the dialogues of Rakesh Mehta's 'Yaara Ve' earlier this year.

Surkhi Bindi will also mark the second time coming together of Sidhu and actress Sargun Mehta. Other than Mehta, the movie will see Gurnam Bhullar, Nisha Bano, Rupinder Rupi and Sukhwinder Raj play vital roles in it.

The trailer of the movie had released in the morning on the official YouTube channel of Zee Studios. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of a million views on the same platform.

It is evident from the story that Surkhi Bindi will portray the married life of its lead protagonists in Mehta and Bhullar. In what appears to be a gratifying love story, the novel chemistry of Mehta and Bhullar should work in the favour of the movie.

Surkhi Bindi is also likely of throwing light on the dreams and aspirations of a married lady and how the society doesn't pay much heed to the same. Sidhu and Mehta, who successfully pulled off something unusual in Qismat, have given a significant hint of doing the same 11 months down the line.
