Often, we gave seen Punjabi singers showing their craze for Bollywood but these days tables have turned for the Punjabi artists as more and more Bollywood stars are coming forward and are expressing their liking for Punjabi music and Punjabi artists. This is also evident from the fact that these days every Hindi film has at least one Punjabi track and also that Punjabi music and songs are being picked by big Bollywood names for their movies.
Also we have been seeing that Punjabi artists are being warmly welcomed to the Bollywood industry. Many Punjabi artists are being offered big acting opportunities in the Hindi cinema. After Diljit Dosanjh and Jassie Gill, popular Punjabi artists Ammy Virk and Hardy Sandhu are also set for their Bollywood debut.
Recently, actress Parineeti Chopra expressed her wish to collaborate with Jassie Gill for a song. After hearing Jassie Gill in an interview, in which he openly expressed his love and admiration for the actress, and said that he would be really happy to meet her in person, Parineeti Chopra replied by by putting a tweet saying, “Jassie ji hun ta milna payega”. Jassie in return tweeted, “looking forward to that great moment, dasso kaddon Aava??”. And to this Parineeti replied by saying, “Sirf milan toh ki hoega! Naal gaana gauneyaa? @jassiegill” .
Apart from Parineeti Chopra, who openly expressed her wish to sing a Punjabi song and that too in collaboration with Jassie Gill, many other Bollywood stars including Sonakshi Sinha and Vicky Kaushal have also exhibited their love for Punjabi music and have confessed that their playlists are full of Punjabi songs.
Recently, the Punjabi singing sensation, Sidhu Moosewala, who has been garnering immense love and appreciation from the Punjabi audience, shared that he recieved a direct message on Instagram from none other than the Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh saying, “Respect Veera“. To this message, Moosewala reverted with “Love Bruh”. Sidhu Moosewala is elated over this DM and is extremely happy to receive appreciation from such a big star.
All this shows that how tables have actually turned for the Punjabi artists, who are winning hearts all over the globe, with their talent and immense hard work. From collaboration with Bollywood stars to collaboration with Hollywood stars, Punjabi artists are achieving it all. Seems like, that day is not far away, when the Punjabi industry will become as popular as Bollywood.
