Punjabi singer-actor Tarsem Jassar has urged people to step forward and contribute towards relief efforts as Punjab reels under one of its worst flood disasters in decades.
Speaking about the situation, Jassar highlighted the resilience of Punjabis during times of adversity. “We all know the condition of Punjab right now. This isn’t the first time we are facing such hardships, and each time, Punjab has risen stronger. Punjab is not merely a state—it’s an ideology. What gives hope in this tragic situation is the unity we see, as everyone is coming together to help,” he said.
Emphasizing the urgent need for support, the artist appealed to citizens to donate generously, particularly in the form of monetary assistance, to help those affected rebuild their lives.
With thousands displaced and entire villages inundated, the state government, voluntary groups, and community leaders have intensified rescue and relief operations. Jassar’s call adds to the growing chorus of appeals from public figures encouraging solidarity in this difficult hour.
