The much talked about film Teri Meri Jodi is nearing its release date. The movie will hit the big screens on 13 September this year and will be distributed worldwide by the White Hill Studios. The movie has already managed to create a lot of buzz even before it’s release. It has been written and directed by the Canada based director Aditya Sood. With this film, Aditya Sood, who had earlier written and directed ‘Mar Jawan Gur Khake’ (2010) and ‘Oye Hoye Pyaar Ho Gaya’ (2013), will make his comeback in the Punjabi industry after a long gap of six years.
The highlight of this upcoming film is that it will introduce a bunch of new artists to the punjabi cinema. The lead cast of the film includes Sammy Gill, Monica Sharma, King B Chouhan, Jazzy Lee Ballerini, Arsh Purba and Sidhu Moosewala. All of them will make their acting debut in the Punjabi film industry with this movie. They are all renowned in their own fields and this movie will mark their debut in the Punjabi cinema.
Sammy Gill and King B Chouhan are celebrated youtube stars. Chouhan has also acted in a Bollywood film in the past. Monica Sharma is a popular Indian television artist and has done many television serials and is a well known face. In the movie, Monica will play the lead opposite Sammy Gill. Jazzy Lee Ballerini is a known model, dancer and choreographer and has been paired opposite King B Chouhan in the film. Arsh Purba is a popular model and has modelled in many punjabi songs as well. Purba, who was recently crowned as Miss Canada Globe, will be playing a very different role in the film. According to sources, Arsh Purba will be seen playing a ‘Daaku’ in the movie.
It will be very interesting to see a film with a whole new starcast. The heartthrob and one of the most popular singers of the Punjabi Industry- Sidhu Moosewala will also be seen making his acting debut in the industry with this movie as he will be seen playing a pivotal role in the film.
Aditya Sood has always encouraged fresh talent in all his previous films and he is continuing the efforts in this film also. This movie is a very special one as it is creating a platform for about half a dozen talented artists. The movie will also be a breath of fresh air for the audience, as they will be a able to see many new, fresh and different faces on the big screen.
Being made under Aditya’s own production house- Aditya’s Films, the movie is being bankrolled by Harmandeep Sood. The film will be a romatic drama and will be based on love, relationships and friendships and will exhibit two contemporary love stories. Aditya Sood, who has lived a whole new life while directing the film, believes that the audience will have a unique and different experience while watching the movie as the movie has many fresh elements and a unique storyline.
