Punjabi industry is growing and is widening its horizons. With every new film, the industry gives opportunities to fresh and budding talent. The much talked about upcoming film- Sufna is nearing its release date and this one also stars a rising and budding actress in the main lead.
The actress is none other than the Guddiyan Patole star- Tania, who played the female parallel lead alongside Sonam Bajwa in Guddiyan Patole. The rising star will play the lead opposite the superstar of Punjabi cinema- Ammy Virk. The actress had made her debut with Ammy Virk’s Qismat and rose to fame after her stupendous performance in the female centric drama Guddiyan Patole. Other than this, Tania also played strong supporting roles in films like Rabb Da Radio 2 and Son Of Manjeet Singh, and Sufna will be her fifth film in the industry. This movie will be Tania’s first film as a solo female lead actress.
We had recently shared the news that the first song of Sufna is out. The song was released yesterday and is already recieving immense love from the audience. The title of the track is Qubool A, and Hashmat Sultana has lended the beautiful vocals to the song which make it a treat for the ears. B Praak has given the heart touching music to the track and the soul stirring lyrics of the song have been penned by Jaani. The song has been released under the label of Speed Records.
The highlight of the song is that it revolves around the female protagonist of the movie. Despite of having a big name like Ammy Virk in the film, the song focuses on Tania and has been totally filmed around her. The lyrics of the track also revolve around Tania’s character. It is heartwarming to see the Punjabi industry giving the female actresses equal importance as their male co stars and this song is a clear example for the same as the track is centered around the female artist, despite of having a popular male lead like Ammy Virk.
Tania adorns a very simple look in the song and the video reflects the sweet and innocent element of her character in the film. The actress is also seen showing some beautiful moves on the mellifluous beats of the song in the video. The song is tuneful, harmonious and soothing to the ears and definitely manages to strum the audience’s heartstrings.
Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, Sufna has been made under the banner of Panj Paani Films. The movie is being produced by Gurpreet Singh & Navneet Virk and will be distributed by the In House Group. Slated to release on the Valentine’s Day, that is on 14 February 2020, the film will be a touching romantic drama. Apart from the leading pair, ‘Sufna’ also stars Jasmin Bajwa, Jagjeet Sandhu, Seema Kaushal, Kaka Kautki, Mohini Toor, Lakha Lehri and Balwinder Bullet in pivotal roles. The fans are very excited for the movie and are eagerly looking forward to its release.
