The countdown for 2020 has started and everyone is looking forward to a great beginning and many new fresh starts on this new year. The Punjabi industry is all set to give a great welcome to 2020 with a bunch of big and good films that have been lined up for release in the first month of the new year. The month of January in 2020, will witness the release of four new Punjabi films. The audience is excited for all these films and are geared up for loads of entertainment in this holiday season.
The four films that are going to hit the silver screen in January 2020 are-
1. JAAN TOH PYARA
Releasing in the first week of the coming new year, Jaan Toh Pyara will be a romantic comedy packed with drama. Starring Inderjeet Nikku, Rai Jujhar, Mangi Mahal, Sakshi Magoo, Yuvleen Kaur, Veena Malik, Sardar Sohi and Rana Jung Bahadur, the film will portray a story of two friends with a very strong bond. Made under the banner of Self Love Production and PK Films, the film has been directed by Harpreet Singh Matharoo and it will hit the screens on 3 January 2020. The teaser and trailer of the movie are out and are being liked by the fans. The film will show a beautiful blend of love and friendship and will have a hilarious storyline, which will definitely make the audience laugh their hearts out !
2. KHATRE DA GHUGGU
Khatre Da Ghuggu will be a out and out comedy drama and will hit the silver screens this new year. Based on the concept of superstitions, the film will hit the screens on 17 January 2020. Kake Da Viyah and Kala Shah Kala fame singer turned actor Jordan Sandhu will play the lead in the film. The female lead of the film will be played by the popular Punjabi actress- Diljott. The movie has been made under the banner of Ananta Films and has been directed by Aman Cheema and the Saggi Phull director Shivtar Shiv. The highlight of the movie is that it will star the king of comedy- BN Sharma in a significant role. The film will be a bag full of laughter and drama and will definitely tickle the audience’s funny bones with its chucklesome plot and concept.
3. JINDE MERIYE
Parmish Verma and Sonam Bajwa are the heartthrobs of the Punjabi industry. They both worked together in Singham and will once again impress the audience with their searing chemistry in their next movie together. The title of the film is Jinde Meriye and the film will rock at the box office in the first month of the coming new year. Directed by the ace director- Pankaj Batra, the film has a stellar starcast including Yuvraj Hans, Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Hobby Dhaliwal, Anita Devgan, Hardeep Gill, Malkeet Rauni and Ravinder Mand. The film will be a romantic drama and will showcase a concoction of beautiful elements and emotions. The movie will release on 24 January 2020 and the fans are very excited to see their favourite onscreen jodi on the big screen.
4. GANDHI FER AA GEA
Produced under the banner of Joy Production House in association with Kapil Batra Productions and Mahakaleshwar Motion Pictures, Gandhi Fer Aa Gea is an action thriller filled with action and drama. The movie will hit the screens on 31 January 2020, which is the last day of the first month of the coming new year. The film stars popular actor Aarya Babbar and renowned model and actress Neha Malik in the lead. The movie has been directed by Kinder Singh and has been produced by Manoj Sethi, Kapil Batra and Manju Gautam. The teaser of the film is out and is recieving a good response from the audience.
These are the four film releases that are lined up for the first month of the coming year. These movies will kickstart a ‘filmy’ year and will definitely provide a great source of entertainment for the audience in this holiday season!
