Punjabi film industry is flourishing day by day but the backbones of this industry are the Producers, who invest not only their money but also their faith in the new ideas. Without their support, even the best script is just an idea on a paper and the most powerful screenplay is just a thought. The two persons who are investing their best for the growth of Punjabi cinema are Teg Production’s Charanjit Singh Walia and Tegbir Singh Walia. GRS Chhina (Calgary Canada) is the co-producer of the film.
The owner of a Mata Sahib Kaur Nursing college Charanjit Singh Walia decided to start his own production house in the name of his son Tegbir Singh Walia, ‘Teg Productions’ last year. The first movie under the banner was ‘Thug Life’ starring Harish Verma and Jass Bajwa in lead roles. Now they are all set to release their next project named ‘Aate Di Chidi’ on 19th October 2018.
The movie has been in news right from its announcement because of the fresh pairing of Neeru Bajwa opposite Amrit Maan. Alongside these two talented artists, the film also has stellar actors like veteran Punjabi actor Sardar Sohi, Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Nirmal Rishi, Harby Sangha, Nisha Bano, Preeto Sawhney, Dilawar Sidhu, Prakash Gadu, and Anmol Verma. As per the film’s trailer, Aate Di Chidi is going to be a giggle-fest where Punjab’s issues will be gently showcased in a humorous way. The movie is helmed by Harry Bhatti and Raju Verma has written the story of this. This movie is shot in Punjab and Canada.
From running an educational institute to making movies, they are trying their best in every front. Talking about the new film Charanjit Singh Walia and Tegbir Singh Walia said that they have decided that just like in a college, where we try to make students learn and be better citizens, their films will be a learning experience too. They said that they will try that the films from their production house always convey a message for the society and set an impact. Their next, Aate Di Chidi is one such project which will definitely change the scenario of cinema in Punjab. It will make children value their homeland and the old people refresh their childhood memories.
They also added that they hope that with this project all the Punjabis whether they stay in India or abroad, whether kids or older, all feel connected to the concept and premise. They do not want to leave any stone unturned to make this film reach most of the audiences. With this vision behind the camera, it is quite evident that the future of Pollywood is in safe hands.
Aate Di Chidi is distributed worldwide by Munish Sahni’s Omjee Group. This film will release on 19th October 2018.
