The 2019 iconic action thriller film Blackia was one of its kind. The movie was highly acclaimed and received immense love from the audience. The movie not only contributed in making the genre of Punjabi action films more popular, but also set a new and higher benchmark for action thriller movies in Punjab. The team of this very loved project is ready with the much awaited sequel of Blackia.

Ohri Productions is all set to present the sequel of Blackia, titled Blackia 2 this year. Earlier the movie was slated to release on May 5 this year, but the release date of the film has been pushed forward. The new release date of the movie is out along with a poster. The film will release in the cinema houses on 25 August 2023. The new poster of the movie gives an insight into the concept of the film, which is out and out based on gangsters, black marketing, alcohol abuse and smuggling.

Produced by Vivek Ohri, the project is being helmed by the ace director of Punjabi industry- Navaniat Singh. It is a no brainer that the film will be led by the ultimate action hero of Punjab- Dev Kharoud. Along with playing the lead, Kharoud has also written the story of Blackia 2.

In this sequel, there is a new addition. The Punjabi diva- Japji Khaira will play the female lead in the movie opposite Dev Kharoud. It will be exciting to witness this new dynamic in this fresh film. The makers  of Blackia 2 aim to surpass the benchmark they created with the previous part. The upcoming sequel is all geared up to once again deliver a spine chilling experience to the viewers with its intense drama, action and thrill.
