The Punjabi artists support the farmers in the farmers’ recent agitation against the government

The Punjab and Haryana region of the country is the heart of India’s grain industry and is a land of farmers and farming. Having majority of the population working under the umbrella of agriculture, the people of the region give primary support to the ‘anndatas’ of the country and always stand upright for the rights of farmers.

Recently, there has been a rising agitation amongst the farmers against the three ordinances that were passed by the central government earlier this year. Farmers in Punjab and Haryana have been protesting against this issue from the last week and these farmers’ protests have grown to a larger dimension in these last few days.

Every industry has a voice, and the Punjabi entertainment industry never fails to raise it’s voice for an important issue. In light of the above mentioned farmers’ protests in Punjab and the neighboring state Haryana, the members of the Punjabi music and film industry have been raising their voice against the authorities and are providing support to the farmers by backing their cause.

The Punjabi stars have been bringing public attention to the cause by posting posts and stories in support of the farmers on their social media accounts. Many big names like Diljit Dosanjh, Nimrat Khaira, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi and many more have been posting substantial content for the rights of the farmers and have been raising mass attention amongst the general public in support of the farmers.

It is heartwarming to see the Punjabi industry standing united and joining hands in support of the heroes who work day in and day out to provide food for the whole nation. This not only will help in widening the reach of the farmers’ protests but will also help in raising public and media attention for this important issue.
