The industry is all set for the post pandemic era of Punjabi cinema as new and exciting projects are being announced every other day. The trend of sequels is flourishing in the Punjabi industry as more and more sequels of previous superhit films are being announced.

After the super success of the 2013 romantic drama – Singh V/s Kaur, the team has announced the sequel of the movie. The film was released more than 7 years back but still retains its charm and is fresh in the audience’s mind. The team decided to announce the sequel to give the fans a double doze of entertainment and to rekindle their memories of the block buster film.

The title of the upcoming sequel is Singh V/s Kaur 2 and like the previous part, this film will also be led by Gippy Grewal. Produced under the banner of Humble Motion Pictures, the film is being bankrolled by Gippy Grewal. The name of the actress playing the lead opposite Gippy Grewal has not been announced yet.

The film will be directed by the ace director of the Punjabi Industry- Navaniat Singh. Navaniat Singh has directed many superhit Punjabi films like Tera Mera Ki Rishta, Punjabi Singham, Yamla Pagla Deewana- Phir Se, Shareek, Jindua and many more. Other than directing Gippy Grewal in Singh V/s Kaur, Navaniat Singh had also worked with Gippy in the actor’s debut film Mel Karaade Rabba. 

The movie will be a romantic drama with a concoction of varied elements and emotions. The release date of the film has not been revealed yet. No details about the starcast have been announced. Gippy Grewal took it to his social media handle to share the first poster of the film. The audience is excitedly looking forward to more details of the film.
