Speaking at the premiere of the film, Kharoud highlighted its scale, action sequences, visuals and music, saying these elements were created to offer a larger-than-life theatrical experience that, according to him, cannot be fully replicated on a mobile phone.
Kharoud also spoke about the growing preference among audiences to wait for films to arrive on OTT platforms. He expressed concern that if viewers increasingly choose streaming over cinemas, it could become challenging for filmmakers to invest in large-scale productions.
According to the actor, films mounted on an ambitious scale require substantial investment, and theatrical revenues remain an important part of making such projects financially viable. He suggested that relying solely on OTT platforms may not always provide the kind of returns needed to sustain productions of this magnitude.
For Kharoud, the conversation goes beyond the fate of one film. He believes audiences choosing theatres can play a role in encouraging filmmakers to continue making ambitious Punjabi movies with bigger production values, elaborate action and expansive storytelling.
With Mitti De Putt, the actor hopes viewers will choose the cinematic experience the film was created for rather than waiting for its eventual digital release.
