Trailer Review: 'Carry On Jatta 2' will make you go bonkers

The maddest house of the Punjabi industry ever and its mad family are coming back to take you on a ride full of hilarity in the days to come. Yes, you've read that right. The trailer of one of the most anticipated sequels of the Punjabi industry, 'Carry On Jatta 2', has released amongst feelings of infinite jubilation.

The trailer was scheduled to release at 18:00 hours today. Having been premiered on television last night, the makers threw a surprise by releasing it early in the morning on their official YouTube channel, White Hill Music. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of seven lakh views and is trending at #2 on the same platform.

Slated to release on June 1, the trailer has put an end to an incessant wait of the Punjabi audience. For an unmitigated comedy movie, the concept of lead actors seems out of context for each and every character plays an integral role. The names of prominence which you will come across on the screen in the sequel are Gippy Grewal, Sonam Bajwa, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Upasana Singh, Jyotii Sethi, Nirmal Rishi and Hobby Dhaliwal.

Though the core of the cast has remained the same than what it was in the first part, there have been new names added in the form of Sonam Bajwa, Upasana Singh Jyotii Sethi, Nirmal Rishi and Hobby Dhaliwal.

Smeep Kang, someone who has directed record-breaking Punjabi comedy movies, has once acted as the captain of the ship of this mad house. It is evident from the trailer that Carry On Jatta 2 will also follow the pattern of its prequel, Carry On Jatta. The overall story of the movie is likely to encompass side-splitting comic punches, a hefty comical chemistry, a love story, a cock and cull sequence and not to forget, a pandemonium climax.

The above mentioned traits are what are required to make a out-and-out comedy movie and are what are present in the trailer of Carry On Jatta 2. Another factor which should work in the favour of the movie is the gap which has been taken to make the sequel. A 6-year hiatus has seen people eagerly waiting for this project. It is all in likeliness that this wait will be converted into mountainous box-office numbers.
