Tunka Tunka Punjabi Movie: The Punjabi film industry is all in likeliness of watching a latest movie in a cinema hall next month.

Singer Hardeep Grewal has surprised one and all by sharing the poster of his first feature film titled 'Tunka Tunka'. The same is doubtlessly reminiscent of arguably his most successful song in 'Thokar' (2015).

Grewal took to his social media handles to share the update stating that the movie had started as many as four years ago in 2017. Grewal, who is supporting a bald look in the movie, further wrote that the whole team didn't reveal anything to conceal his look.

The highlight of the announcement lies in the fact that Tunka Tunka not only participated in International awards but also won seven of them last year. In what is no mean feat, it speaks highly about what is being claimed as a "motivational movie".

In addition to Grewal, Tunka Tunka will also witness Hashneen Chauhan, Balwinder Bullet and Sardar Sohi in pivotal roles. As far as Punjabi movies are concerned, Chauhan was last seen in Mandeep Benipal's 'DSP Dev(2019). Bullet, on the other hand, was appreciated for his role in Jagdeep Sidhu's 'Sufnalast year.

Tunka Tunka release date

Set to release in cinema halls on July 16, Tunka Tunka is most likely to become the first Punjabi movie to release in a cinema hall after the second wave of COVID-19. Barring Avtar Singh's ‘Kuriyan Jawan Bapu Preshaan‘, which had released amidst the peak of the second wave in April this year, no other Punjabi movie has released since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Apart from just making his acting debut, Grewal has also written the screenplay and dialogues of Tunka Tunka. While J Davin has written the script of the movie, the whole project has been produced by Grewal himself. The movie will be distributed worldwide by PTC Globe Moviez.

Video director Garry Khatrao, who has directed the music videos of Grewal's 'Surme Wali Akh', 'Son of Soil', 'Aaja Zindagi', "God's Plan", "I Don't Know" and '3 Saal' in the last two years, has made his directorial debut with Tunka Tunka.
