Uda Aida Preview: Punjabi Mania presents before you full preview of upcoming Punjabi movie named 'Uda Aida'.

As was the case during the first week of January, the same will be the case during the first week of February with regard to the Punjabi film industry. While January 5 had witnessed the first clash of the year, February 1 will witness the second one as two Punjabi movies are all set to face each other tomorrow.

One of which is celebrated director Ksshitij Chaudhary's 'Uda Aida'. The trailer of the movie was released around four weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Vehli Janta Records. At the time of writing this article, it has over five million views on the same platform.

Uda Aida stars Neeru Bajwa and Tarsem Singh Jassar in lead roles. The novelty of the pair is such that it should be at ease in enticing not just their fans but other people as well to the cinema halls. Apart from the lead pair, the movie also stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, BN Sharma and others. In an interview with Punjabi Mania, Bajwa opened up on playing a mother on-screen and working with Chaudhary after a decade. Watch the full video below:



The script of the movie has been written by Naresh Kathooria, another notable name when it comes to the field of writing in the Punjabi film industry. While Kathooria has written several films till now, Uda Aida is likely to fall into a special category primarily because of its subject.

The movie will highlight the importance of one's mother tongue (Punjabi, in this case). While it is unlikely to defame other languages but learning them at the cost of ignoring one's mother tongue is likely to be given the flak in the movie. Given the realistic nature of the subject and its consequences being thoroughly felt these days in the state, one expects people to relate to it without much discomfort.

Uda Aida has been produced by Rrupaali Gupta, Deepak Gupta, director Chaudhary writer Kathooria under the banners of Friday Russh Motion Pictures, Ksshitij Chaudhary Films and Naresh Kathooria Films. Omjee Group has been handed the responsibility of distributing the movie worldwide. Renowned comedian, actor and producer Kapil Sharma praising the trailer of the movie speaks highly about it already doing the rounds among the stalwarts of the industry.

The movie will face stiff competition from Shelly Chopra Dhar's Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-starer 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga'. Given that a Punjab derby is slated for tomorrow, Rai Yuvraj Bains' 'Kaake Da Viyah' will also compete with Uda Aida at the box-office.
