Vajjde Transportiye...Sharry Maan Drives a Chartbuster

Over the years, Sharry Mann has become a trailblazer in the Punjabi music industry. He is a pioneer name when it comes to singers who have shelved music albums in a bid to promote single tracks. Agreed that it’s a ploy which has been used by many singers over the past couple of years, but, Mann has emerged as the prodigious beneficiary from it.

Not that the singers are deliberately following this stratagem, the availability of internet on almost every mobile device has forced them to do so. Technology has replaced listeners to viewers. The modern-day audience tends not to listen to a song unless its video is available. Releasing eight (on an average) audio songs in an album doesn’t count for much sense in such a situation.

In what is his fourth single track of this year, Mann has ended the wait of his fans after releasing the much-awaited ‘Transportiye’, today. As the name suggests, the song is based on truck drivers. Mann took to his Twitter account in the morning to dedicate this song to all the hard-working people across the world.

The song has been penned down by Baljit Singh Gharuan and Mann, himself. Nick Dhammu has given the music in this song. The video has been directed by Amit Kumar and Anurag Dhawan. Online promotion has been done by Gold Media and the track has released under the banner of White Hill Music. At the time of writing this article, the song has already received close to 8 lakh views (in less than 12 hours) on YouTube.

The ‘Saade Aala’ (one’s own) of the Punjabi music industry, Sharry Mann, is going through a purple patch as far as the acceptance of his songs is concerned. Since December 2015, from ‘Hashtag’ to Transportiye, Mann has released nine single tracks, all of which have been smash hits. Add to it, the number of songs which he sang in Punjabi movies in this time period. Tracks like ‘Dil Da Dimaag’ and ‘Rabb Da Radio’ threw light on him being multi-skilled and not someone who keeps on bogging down the audience with repetition of the same genre. The numberless praises have increased his fan base in not just Punjab or North India, but, other parts of the country as well.

With the speed with which he is rising, a call from Bollywood might not be far away. We, at Punjabi Mania, would love to see him singing for the national audience now. Hopefully, his fans want the same as well.
