Vikramjeet Virk did not approach Mitti De Putt as an excuse to make himself larger than life. In a July interview with Filmibeat, the actor said the role demanded emotional honesty—an intention that becomes newly relevant now that the film has reached cinemas.
His description points away from surface toughness and towards a character defined by values, difficult choices and their emotional cost. It is a sharper way to enter the performance than simply asking who Virk plays or how forceful he looks on screen.
A character measured by his choices
Virk said the character’s values outweigh personal gain. That places the pressure of the role in decision-making: what someone is willing to protect, what a principle may cost and how those consequences register emotionally.
The distinction matters in a film whose advertised territory includes heritage, family honour, personal pride and loyalty to one’s roots. Punjabi Mania’s Mitti De Putt film guide lists Virk among the principal cast and confirms the September 18 release.
Those broad conflicts create room for an actor to project strength, but Virk’s comments suggest that strength was not his only target. His stated priority was to keep the character human and emotionally credible instead of treating scale as a substitute for inner pressure.
Restraint inside an ensemble
Virk also credited director R Malkana with a clear vision and described the ensemble’s working environment as respectful. That is the actor’s account of the production, but it helps explain why he discusses the role in terms of trust, shared purpose and restraint.
An ensemble can easily become a contest of entrances and declarations, particularly when a story is built around pride and conflict. Virk’s own emphasis was elsewhere: values have to carry weight, and choices have to feel consequential.
That approach does not predetermine a review of the finished performance. It does, however, give release-week viewers a specific detail to watch for. The question is whether the character’s principles remain visible when personal advantage points in another direction.
A release-week companion, not a verdict
The Filmibeat interview was published in July, so Virk’s remarks are not a new post-release claim. Their value now comes from timing: audiences finally have the film in front of them and can compare the actor’s stated intention with what appears on screen.
That makes the interview more revealing than a fresh cast recap. Virk is describing the internal standard he set for the work—emotional truth before size, values before personal gain and consequences that should be felt rather than merely announced.
Whether Mitti De Putt delivers that balance belongs to a properly screened assessment. Virk’s contribution to the release-week conversation is already clear: he wanted the character’s truth to carry more force than swagger alone.
