Late veteran actor Dara Singh’s son Vindoo Dara Singh has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for his links with the betting mafia. This comes as police look for more links in the IPL spot-fixing scandal.
Sources say Vindoo Dara Singh was named by arrested bookie Ramesh Vyas. Vindoo Dara Singh was questioned by the Mumbai Police on Monday night while he was formally arrested on Tuesday morning. Sources say Vindoo Dara Singh did admit to betting after questioned for hours by the Mumbai Police.
Producer-Director Mahesh Bhatt says he is shocked to hear about Vindoo Dara Singh’s involvement in the IPL spot-fixing scandal. “When you think of Vindoo, you think of the late Dara Singh. I am shocked,” says Bhatt.
