Best known for Shampy in Jatt and Juliet Series, Rana Ranbir is all set with his new film Ardaas. He has not only acted but is also the writer in the film. May we remind you that Ardaas is Gippy Grewal’s directorial debut in Punjabi Film Industry.

Rana Ranbir recently shared an account of his first day as an actor on the sets of the film. Ranbir was always present on the sets, as he was the writer. But this was a different day, he was also playing a role and that day they were supposed to shoot it.

And we quote the man himself:

As an writer I have always been on the sets of Ardaas. The day I was supposed to start as an actor, I got in the vanity, got make up and was all ready. And then my Director (Gippy Grewal) saw me and said “What is this? No, I don’t want this. Make it dirty. I want Lottery not Rana!” Then I took my brain to Dhuri and tied the turban, the way an Electricity Department Personnel used to in Dhuri.
