It hasn’t been a good last 5-6 months for the fans of Punjabi Cinema. They haven’t been treated the way they would’ve liked to be. There haven’t been many choices for them to pick and choose from to watch. With the failure of Sargi at the box-office, the flop count after Nikka Zaildar (Sept 30, 2016) has risen to 15. 15 films have failed on the trot and haven’t found many takers in cinema halls.
However, now with the month of March beginning has brought a kind of hope with it for the fans of Punjabi Cinema in the form of Jindua, a love triangle featuring the iconic couple of Jimmy Sheirgill as Karma and Neeru Bajwa as Eesh with Sargun Mehta as Saghi following the 3rd point of this Love Triangle.
At the helm of things is the writer-director duo Dheeraj Rattan and Navaniat Singh responsible for super hits like Mel Karade Rabba, Shareek, Singh v/s Kaur to name a few. Also the music album of the film has some big names attached to it like Prabh Gill, Ranjit Bawa, Neha Kakkar, Jasmine Sandlas, Shipra Goyal & many more.
Jindua has been shot in the heart of the New West, Calgary at many scenic locations which are never seen before on screen in Punjabi Cinema. Speaking to Punjabi Mania in an Interview, Jimmy Sheirgill spoke about his character in the film where he plays Karamjit Singh aka Karma who has immigrated to Canada but isn’t a permanent resident (also called ???? ). Karma moves to Canada to earn money but falls in love which is what forms the storyline of Jindua.
Jindua releases in cinemas near you on March 17, 2017 worldwide.
