Punjabi music star Yo Yo Honey Singh has voiced concern over the rising drug problem in Punjab following a meeting with BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, where both discussed the need to steer the youth away from substance abuse.

The singer’s remarks came amid increasing public debate over addiction and rehabilitation in Punjab, where political leaders and social organisations have repeatedly raised concerns over the impact of substance abuse on society.
Tarun Chugh praised Honey Singh for achieving international recognition and said the artist’s influence among youngsters could play a key role in spreading awareness. According to the BJP leader, he urged the singer to use his music and public platform to encourage youth to stay away from drugs and focus on positive change.
Chugh also referred to Honey Singh’s own personal struggles and return to the spotlight, saying his journey could inspire many young people facing challenges in life. He added that the singer had assured support for efforts aimed at creating awareness against drug addiction in Punjab.
The meeting has drawn attention on social media, with many users discussing the possibility of celebrities joining larger campaigns to tackle the drug crisis and motivate young audiences through music and public outreach.
