The 2010-2015 era of Punjabi music had a charm of its own. The era was marked by superhit songs by the very popular singer, rapper, song writer and composer- Yo Yo Honey Singh, who had completely changed the Punjabi music game with his new age music.

The star created a big name by collaborating with talented artists and creating magical music numbers. One of the very loved jodi of that time was Yo Yo Honey Singh and the super star of Punjab- Diljit Dosanjh. The duo gave chartbuster songs like Panga, Lakk 28 Kuri Da, Goliyan and many more and won hearts of the Punjabi music audience with their super hit tracks.

Honey Singh and Diljit Dosanjh are known for creating timeless songs, which have not lost their relevance and allure till the present day, and have managed to retain the room that they had created in the hearts of the Punjabi music fans.

Yo Yo Honey Singh is once again in full form and has been actively working in the music industry for quite some time. In a recent interview, the desi rap star gave the credit of the success of his chartbuster track-Brown Rang to Diljit Dosanjh who is the current music sensation of Punjab. He also gave the credit of Brown Rang to the popular Punjabi singer- Jassi Sidhu in the same interview.

Yo Yo mentioned that he had written Brown Rang for Diljit Dosanjh to sing, but Dosanjh refused to sing it because the song had a contrasting approach and style and was very different from his style of songs. He later approached Jassi Sidhu for the same song but the collaboration did not take place due to inconsistent scales between the song and the legendary artist.

Later Yo Yo sang the song himself and the song became an overnight success and gave a major push to Honey Singh’s musical career as a singer. Due to this, Honey Singh gave the credit of his song to these superstar singers for actually not choosing to sing the track. Honey singh shared this story in a fun and interesting way and this new insight has given a new dimension to the very popular Brown Rang.
