Rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh has postponed the teaser launch of his upcoming track Moonlight, saying the decision was taken in view of the prevailing sentiments across the country and among India's youth.
Sharing a note on his Instagram Stories, Honey Singh announced that the teaser, which was originally scheduled to release ahead of the song's launch, will now be delayed by a few days.
In his message, the singer wrote, "Due to the sentiments of our country and youth of India, I am postponing the teaser of my new song Moonlight for a few days. Bholenath shakti do inn bachon ko," before signing off with "Jai Hind."
The announcement has drawn attention on social media, with many fans appreciating the artist's decision to prioritise public sentiment during a sensitive time. Others expressed support while eagerly waiting for the teaser's new release date.
Moonlight, featuring Priceless, had earlier been teased for a July 24 release and has already generated considerable excitement among fans. While the teaser has been pushed back, listeners are now looking forward to an official update on the revised promotional schedule.
