Yograj Singh Sparks Controversy with Explosive Statements on Kapil Dev, Women, and Hindi Language

Yograj Singh News: Former cricketer Yograj Singh, known for his fiery temperament and controversial opinions, has once again stirred nationwide outrage with his explosive remarks during an interview on the YouTube channel Unfiltered by Samdish. From recounting a heated confrontation with Kapil Dev to making polarizing statements about women and the Hindi language, Yograj’s comments have drawn widespread condemnation.

Threatened Kapil Dev with a Pistol

In a startling revelation, Yograj Singh claimed that he once visited Kapil Dev’s home with a pistol, enraged after being dropped from the Indian cricket team.

“When Kapil Dev became captain, he dropped me for no reason,” Yograj alleged, recalling the incident. “I went to Kapil’s house with a pistol in Sector 9. He came out with his mother, and I told him, ‘I want to put a bullet through your head, but I’m not doing it because of your mother.’”

He further stated that this confrontation led him to quit cricket and focus on grooming his son, Yuvraj Singh, to become a cricketer.

On Yuvraj Singh’s Cricketing Legacy

Yograj expressed pride in his son’s achievements, particularly during the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup, but made a shocking statement about Yuvraj’s battle with cancer.

“For our country, if Yuvraj had died from cancer while winning India the World Cup, I would have been a proud father,” he said, adding that he encouraged Yuvraj to play even while battling illness.

Despite Yuvraj’s accolades, Yograj lamented that his son didn’t fully realize his potential, stating, “If he had worked even 10 percent as hard as me, he would have been a greater cricketer.”

Contentious Comments on Women

Yograj Singh’s remarks on women during the interview have sparked outrage. While claiming to “respect women,” he argued against granting them power, asserting that it would lead to destruction.

“Women are beautiful and essential to life, but they should not be given power,” he said. “If you give them power, they will destroy everything around them. Look at Indira Gandhi—she ruined the country.”

He also made regressive comments about marital roles, stating, “Husband and wife are made only to sleep together and produce children. That is romance.”

Mockery of Hindi Language

In another controversial remark, Yograj dismissed Hindi as lacking energy, calling it a “woman’s language.”

“When a woman speaks Hindi, it sounds pleasant, but when a man speaks it, it feels weak,” he said, adding that he prefers to hear Punjabi from men.

Criticism of Bishan Singh Bedi and Grudges

Yograj also accused the late Bishan Singh Bedi of conspiring against him during his cricketing career, alleging that such plots led to his exclusion from the Indian team.

Public Backlash

Yograj Singh’s comments have sparked a storm on social media, with many calling his statements sexist, regressive, and disrespectful. Critics have slammed his remarks as perpetuating harmful stereotypes about women and undermining the Hindi language.

While Yograj has a history of controversial statements, his latest interview has reignited debates about his views and their impact on public discourse. Whether he will face further consequences for these remarks remains uncertain.
