The team of forthcoming Punjabi movie Young Malang came calling to the city today. Maiden venture of Rahulinder Singh Sidhu from RSG studios the movie carries a mixed bag of star cast marking entry of Bollywood beauty Anjana Sukhani in Punjabi cinema and singer Yuvraj Hans besides a bubbly Punjabi young star cast.
Besides Sukhani (who has worked in blockbusters Salaam-e-Ishq, Golmaal Returns, Jai Veeru and Jashnn), the movie based on young college romance includes Yuvraj Hans, Neetu Singh, Anita Kailey, Balli Riar and Vinaypal Buttar.
The director Rajdeep Singh, who was associate director of Pinky Moge Wali, will be directing Young Malang. In the industry since 1990’s, Rajbir is known for his work in Navniat Singh’s team in films like Taur Mitra Di etc.
Talking to media persons, flanked by the Young Malangs, producer Rahulinder Singh Sidhu said that movie has been centered on the young generation and is a light hearted college romance comedy.
“The movie will be shot at locations around Chandigarh such as Chitkara College, Zirakpur, Ropar, Chandigarh, Mornihills, Kasauli and breathtaking beauty of hilly Himachal and Italy. We are still finalizing locations at Italy for which deliberations are on,” said Sidhu.
The young producer Rahulinder Singh Sidhu is not the behind scene man only. His role traverses beyond the conventional part producers play. A creative person himself, he is involved with movie’s creative aspects including direction, music, action etc
He said, “You will see a lot of me in the film as I have personally worked on each and every minute detail. The emotional scenes, or music and action packed sequences have been worked on,” said Sidhu who has teamed up with director Rajdeep for creating this movie.
Starting from April 1 onwards, the shooting schedule will be wrapped up in 40 days. Manshender Singh has penned the story and will share screenplay with Rajdeep Singh. Cinematography will be by Anshul Choubey, while Rajdeep Singh have penned the dialogues.
Music directors of the movie include PTC award winning music director Gurmeet Singh, Gurmoh and Vikram Singh a.k.a. Vicky. Movie will have compositions of Gurjinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Daljeet Singh Arora, Rajdeep Singh and Gurjeet Khosa.
Singers Mika Singh, Javed Ali, Yuvraj Hans, Vinaypal Buttar, Balli Riar, Raptiles and J Riaz will present an eclectic combination of different genres of music, while choreography will be by Bhupi Sayan and action director Mohan Baggad will be adding some of the memorable action scenes to movie.
The movie will be released in mid August.
