Well, it is indeed filmy because a biopic celebrating the life and achievements of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh will soon be released in theatres, the production house T-Series announced on X on Tuesday.
The biopic has been titled 'Six Sixes' as a tribute to Yuvraj Singh’s unbelievable stint against England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes at the 2007 T20 World Cup.
“Relive the legend's journey from the pitch to the heart of millions—Yuvraj Singh's story of grit and glory is coming soon on the big screen,” wrote the makers, alongside a set of pictures featuring the cricketer with producers Bhushan Kumar, Shiv Chanana and Ravi Bhagchandka.
As of now, the details related to the cast and release date of the upcoming biopic have been kept under wraps.
Born on December 12, 1981, Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian cricketer who rose to fame in the early 2000s, playing a crucial role in India's ICC T20 World Cup win in 2007 and the ICC Cricket World Cup victory in 2011.
His career's highlights include his record of hitting six sixes in an over against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup and being named Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup.
Despite being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011, Yuvraj’s determination brought him back to cricket after treatment. He retired from international cricket in 2019.
