Saturday’s Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar ended with a new player in the house. Television actor Manish Goel arrived as the season’s first wild card, stepping into a week already marked by arguments over ration, captaincy and loyalties. Before that reveal, Salman Khan revisited the housemates’ decisions and a task put Gullu’s blunt style under a spotlight.
Arishfa and Gullu begin on a difficult note
The episode opened with a heated exchange between Arishfa Khan and Kushal Tanwar, better known as Gullu. Arishfa called him a bully and used a harsh insult; Mahhi Vij stood with Gullu during the argument. Their clash did not settle the question of who was right, but it showed how quickly a disagreement could turn personal with several of the week’s contestants already under nomination pressure.
Captaincy is settled, the arguments are not
Friday’s task had put Aasif Khan in charge after Love Gill ranked seven contenders and chose him as captain. The choice gave the house 25 percent ration, less than the 35 percent attached to Kanika Mann’s rank, and left Love facing questions about whose interests she had put first. On Saturday, Salman congratulated Aasif. He then asked the housemates to review outgoing captain Uditi Singh’s week, giving several of them a chance to air their frustrations about her decisions.
That made the captaincy handover more than a change of title. Aasif takes charge of a house where the way he was chosen is still being debated, while Uditi’s leadership continues to draw reactions even after her term ends.
Gullu names three housemates in the mask task
Salman asked Gullu to identify three contestants whose “real faces” he felt had yet to emerge. Gullu picked Amrapali Dubey, Yung DSA and Arishfa. As part of the task, he threw water at the people he named and explained his views. The exchange sharpened when he took a personal dig at Amrapali’s career. Kanika objected to the remark and challenged him.
There was a second side to Gullu’s night. Salman praised the directness of his opinions, while Rannvijay Singha and Wamiqa Gabbi also offered encouragement. The praise did not erase the discomfort caused by the Amrapali comment. Together, those moments left a question for the house: when does speaking plainly help a contestant, and when does it become a personal attack?
Kanika gets support, then a new rival arrives
Kanika’s response to Gullu was not her only moment in focus. Salman said she was back in the game, and Wamiqa told her she saw potential in the way she was playing and wanted to see more. It was an encouraging assessment after Kanika’s dispute with Love over the captaincy and ration decision. Whether that outside praise changes her position among the housemates remains to be seen.
Guests including Rannvijay, Neha Dhupia, Abhishek Malhan, Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa brought entertainment and feedback to the Weekend Ka Vaar. The final game change came with Manish Goel’s entry. Salman introduced him as the first wild card, adding a contestant to a house where five weeks of friendships and feuds have already formed. Another entrant was teased for the following day, but no second entry was confirmed in Saturday’s episode.
Our take
The episode gave the house attention without giving it a clean slate. Aasif has the captain’s badge, but the ration choice behind it still divides opinion. Gullu has praise for his candour and criticism for where it led him. Kanika has encouragement from the stage while facing pressure inside the house. Manish arrives with all those threads already in motion. His first real test will be whether he joins one of them or changes the conversation.
