Dakuaan Da Munda 2: The makers are finally all set to begin the shooting of a much-awaited sequel in the Punjabi film industry.
It was nearly a year ago that two renowned production houses in Dreamreality Movies and Omjee Star Studios had announced the sequel of super-hit Punjabi movie titled 'Dakuaan Da Munda'.
While the movie was originally slated to release on September 11 this year, a delay in the schedule followed by the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for the makers to release the movie on the aforementioned date.
As Dakuaan Da Munda completes its second anniversary today, the makers have come up with a vital development in the form of announcing the cast of the movie.
Actor Dev Kharoud, who was exceptional in portraying Mintu Gurusaria's life on-screen in the first part, was always going to be part of Dakuaan Da Munda 2. Actress Japji Khaira, who was last seen in Amardeep Singh Gill's 'Jora: The Second Chapter' earlier this year, has now joined hands with the Dakuaan Da Munda franchise.
It is worth mentioning that Kharoud and Khaira had briefly shared screen space in a song titled 'Mantar Maar Gayi' from Smeep Kang's 'Naukar Vahuti Da' last year.
Director Mandeep Benipal, who had last directed Kharoud-starer 'DSP Dev' last year, will continue to call the shots in the Dakuaan Da Munda franchise.
While the release date of Dakuaan Da Munda 2 hasn't been announced as of now, the makers will commence the shooting of the movie soon.
