‘Rang Panjab’ Preview: Punjabi Mania presents before you the preview of upcoming Punjabi movie named ‘Rang Panjab’.
In which will be the fifth double header in the Punjabi film industry this year, it will witness two movies locking horns with each other at the box-office. Apart from showing progressive signs for our industry, a rare week such as this also prepares the audiences to distributors to get their act together for it might be a constant scenario in 2019.
One of the two movies releasing on this Friday is Rakesh Mehta’s ‘Rang Panjab’. Since the release of its trailer earlier this month, news catering to Rang Panjab have been doing the rounds in both Punjab and overseas. The commanding trailer has been banging the drum about the movie in the best possible manner.
In which will be Mehta’s second directorial venture, it stars a conglomerate of actors in Deep Sidhu, Kartar Cheema, Ashish Duggal, Hobby Dhaliwal, Mahavir Bhullar, Jagjit Sandhu, Dheeraj Kumar, Baninderjit Bunny, Gurjeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh Bajwa, Karan Battan, Reena Rai and Kamal Virk. In an interview with Punjabi Mania, lead actor Sidhu disclosed the reason behind him not appearing on the silver screen for the last 14 months. Watch the interview below:
With action as the focal point in the movie, Rang Panjab has plentiful of it in stores for the audiences. It is evident from the trailer of the movie that the story will revolve around a suspended police officer who is likely to take the mantle in his own hands to clean the reprehensible system prevailing in the state.
With Sidhu as the antagonist and Cheema playing the antithetical role, one can be rest assured about a tightly fought affray in the movie. Furthermore, impact-generating one-liners are expected to be the buttress for the movie. All that Rang Panjab promises at this point in time will only be known in detail after watching the movies in cinema halls on Friday, i.e., November 23. Having said that, one can unequivocally credit the makers for choosing such a sporadic subject.
Rang Panjab has been produced by Mandeep Singh Sidhu and Raj Kundra under the banners of Bathinde Wale Bai Films and Cinemation Media. Among the Hindi movies which are releasing on Friday are Neeraj Pathak’s ‘Bhaiaji Superhit’ and Tariq Khan’s ‘The Dark Side of Life: Mumbai City’. With no major Hindi movie releasing, Rang Panjab is expected to receive stiff competition from Sunil Thakur’s ‘Marriage Palace’ at the box-office.
