Baghi Di Dhee Movie Review: Mukesh Gautam’s Revolutionary Film Is All About Sacrifice, Revenge & Courage

The Punjabi film Baghi Di Dhee finally hit theatres on November 25, 2022. The film which has been directed by Mukesh Gautam is about the story of a fourteen-year-old powerful girl whose father has died.

The little girl fought for freedom and battled against the British empire. Moreover, the story is about the battle period when India faced a lot of criticism from the Britishers. Baghi Di Dhee (Daughter of Rebellion) is the proud name accepted by the little girl, Deep (Dilnoor Kaur). The story, written by Giani Gurmukh Singh Musafir is about dark and intense concepts. In addition, it exemplifies the extraordinary bravery, fearlessness, and determination of Indians to escape British colonial slavery.

The songs of this unique concept-based film give justice to the story. The music has been penned and crooned by Bir Singh, and Gurprasad Singh whereas the composition has been done by Tejwant Kittu.

The story, which has a strong Punjabi cultural foundation, emphasizes the contribution of unsung heroes to the Indian Freedom Struggle. Punjab's people will relish how the topic has been handled because it is a meaningful movie.

The actors like Kuljinder Singh Sidhu, Dilnoor Kaur, Vaquar Shaikh, and Gurpreet Bhangu got all the applause and praise for working on such a deep concept film. The artists have not only justified their roles but beautifully presented them in front of the audience that it giving chills to the viewers. 

Overall the film is worth watching as it is all about the renunciations and sacrifices made by our ancestors. Moreover, well-made script, music and cast are all hallmarks of the film. The fourteen-year-old girl’s act is something that will woo your heart and sob your eyes.
