Blackia Preview: Be equipped for Dev Kharoud's action-packed periodic project

In an article on what May 2019 brings for the Punjabi audiences a few days ago, a rare case of as many as three clashes were mentioned. The first one of them will take place between Sukhminder Dhanjal's 'Blackia' and Parmish Verma and Uday Partap Singh's 'Dil Diyan Gallan' on this Friday, i.e., May 3.

From illustrating outright mightiness in the teaser to portraying an action endowment in the trailer, Blackia has only got better with every development. Set to be made public on the day after tomorrow, it calls for any intriguing project which has it in it to entice eyeballs in the cinema halls.

The trailer of the movie had released a month ago on the official YouTube channel of Yellow Music. At the time of writing this article, it has received over three million views and plentiful appreciating comments on the same platform.

Actor Dev Kharoud will be seen playing in and as Blackia. Ihana Dhillon will play the lead role opposite Kharoud. Apart from the lead duo, Blackia stars Arsh Hundal, Ashish Duggal, Rana Jung Bahadur and others.

Blackia will highlight the times of 1970s in Punjab when gold was smuggled across borders. It is this illegal business which will be the focal point of the movie. Dev Kharoud, who has literally nailed roles of this genre in the past, is highly anticipated to do the same this time as well.

It is also evident from the trailer and a couple of songs that the movie will incorporate a romantic angle. Blackia has been directed by National Award-winning director Sukhminder Dhanjal, who had last directed 'Kabaddi Once Again' (2012), will be seen making a comeback after seven years.

The movie has been produced by Vivek Ohri and Atul Ohri under the banner of Ohri Productions. As mentioned above, Blackia will face stiff competition from Dil Diyan Gallan. With both Kharoud and Verma possessing stellar individual fan-following, expect the box-office to be on fire in the imminent week. Who out of the two will eventually take a lead will be known in the days to come.

Among the Hindi movies, Blackia will face competition from Behzad Khambata's 'Blank' and Ashwini Chaudhary's 'Setters'.
