Smeep Kang’s ‘Carry On Jatta’ will unequivocally go down as a landmark Punjabi movie. If the filter of slapstick comedy is applied in the Punjabi industry, it might as well top that list. Such has been the magnitude of the Carry On Jatta franchise. Apart from gaining critical accolades, Carry On Jatta and Carry On Jatta 2, went on to become grand money-spinning pieces of merchandise and received abundant love from the Punjabi audience.
The merchandise has now been converted into a brand, whose third edition is all in readiness to release on June 29. The makers have gone ahead with almost the same names of high standing in the Punjabi industry including Gippy Grewal, Sonam Bajwa, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, and B.N. Sharma. These big names have been instrumental in bringing Carry On Jatta at a stage where it is today.
Gippy Grewal and Binnu Dhillon make the best comic jodi of Punjabi cinema and both will be seen in the same positions in this upcoming sequel. Sonam Bajwa, who was a new addition to the Carry On Jatta 2 team, will once again be seen spreading her magic while playing the female lead in the movie.
Jaswinder Bhalla who is known for his ‘Kaala Coat’ in the film is definitely one of the strongest pillar of this much loved comic drama film. Bhalla is a time-honoured artist who has been a regular face on the celluloid for many decades now. His performance has been impeccable in both the instalments of Carry On Jatta and the star is all set for raising the bar even higher with his work in the upcoming third part of the Carry On Jatta series.
The extraordinarily talented artist, who has proven his versatility time and again- Gurpreet Ghuggi will once again be seen in his super fun and comic element and will add life and energy to the film. Carry On Jatta can never be complete without BN Sharma and Karamjit Anmol, who will both be seen in exceedingly entertaining roles in the film.
Having said that, to add to the entertainment packed confusion, some new names have also been added to the Carry On Jatta 3 starcast. These newly added names include renowned actors Nasir Chinyoti and Kavita Kaushik, and also the very talented young star- Shinda Grewal.
Pakistani actor and comedian Nasir Chinyoti is also a new addition to the cast, and will be seen delivering a tremendously hilarious performance in the film. He is the master of comic timing and his comedy element is very much evident from the trailer of the movie.
Kavita Kaushik has played many different types of roles in the Punjabi cinema, and will be seen playing a pivotal role in the upcoming movie. She is known for her expressions and spontaneity and has a beautiful screen presence.
Shinda Grewal is Gippy Grewal’s son and a very talented and young budding star. Shinda proved his acting skills in Diljit Dosanjh’s Honsla Rakh, and now will be seen playing a significant role in Carry On Jatta 3. Shinda Grewal has an unmatched energy and a very enthusiastic vibe, which makes him appear exceedingly appealing on the big screen. Also, the young star’s cuteness quotient cannot be ignored and is an added bonus on top of his brilliant acting work.
In terms of casting, it appears that the makers have ticked all the boxes. The inclusion of the above mentioned names have certainly bolstered the movie in terms of star power. The promotion of the movie has been going on from over a month, and has already accelerated the curiosity and exhilaration among the audiences in Punjab and overseas.
