Iconic Punjabi movie titled 'Chann Pardesi' is all in readiness of a rare re-release in the Punjabi film industry tomorrow (May 27). Having released originally in 1980, Chann Pardesi will be playing in cinema halls across the globe after more than four decades.
The refurbished version of Chann Pardesi will be released in HD Digital and 5.1 Surround Sound giving it a contemporary feel aesthetically. The presence of other enhanced moden-day technology has it in it to make this epic movie worth-watching.
The legendary star cast of Chann Pardesi comprises of Raj Babbar, Amrish Puri, Om Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rama Vij, Mehar Mittal, Sushma Seth, Rajni Sharma and Sunita Dhir. The one-off experience of watching these stalwarts on the silver screens in their 40 year-old avatars should be grasped with both hands by audiences of all generations.

The re-release of Chann Pardesi has been made possible by London-based businessman Dr. Chanan Singh Sidhu and his son Simran Sidhu. While the Sidhus wanted to release the movie on its 40th anniversary in 2020, Chann Pardesi is among the numerous Punjabi movies which were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is worth mentioning that veteran director Manmohan Singh has worked extensively on the re-mastering of Chann Pardesi. With Singh's directorial comeback titled 'PR' also releasing in the cinema halls tomorrow, Chann Pardesi will combat with both PR and Mandeep Benipal's 'Dakuaan Da Munda 2' at the box-office.
Having said that, expect Chann Pardesi to find its set of audience on the back of its nostalgic element around the world in the imminent week.
