Deep Sidhu dies in road accident: The renowned Punjabi actor passed away in a shocking accident.

Actor Deep Sidhu has passed away in a fatal road accident. The shocking news was made public by his close aid and producer Harpreet Singh Devgun on his Facebook account.

Sidhu was travelling from New Delhi to Bathinda with friend and actor Reena Rai when his Mahindra Scorpio reportedly hit a stationary vehicle at the KMP highway.

Sidhu was subsequently taken to a government hospital in District Sonipat, where he was declared brought dead. As far as Rai is concerned, there's no official information about her health or extent of injuries.

Sidhu, who had made his acting debut in Guddu Dhanoa's 'Ramta Jogi' (2015), was fondly known for his portraying the character of Jora in 'Jora 10 Numbaria' (2017) and 'Jora: The Second Chapter' (2020, co-produced by Devgun).

While the third part of Jora franchise was set to go on floors next month, other Sidhu-starer announced but unreleased movies are 'Saade Aale', 'Desi' and 'State vs Waryam Singh'.

Sidhu, who had turned to activism lately, had gained prominence during the recently concluded farmers' protest. Most recently, Sidhu was seen actively campaigning for Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) President Simranjit Singh Mann ahead of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Polls 2022.
