The sequel of the blockbuster film Dakuaan Da Munda, titled ‘Dakuaan Da Munda 2’ is all set to hit the cinemas this month. The trailer of the film is out and has exhilarated the fans who are eagerly looking forward to the release of this intense action drama film, packed with emotions and action, based on the concept of addiction and gang politics.
Like the first instalment, the sequel also stars Dev Kharoud in the main lead. Punjabi actress Japji Khaira is playing the female lead opposite Kharoud in the movie. Produced under the banners of Dream Reality Movies, Ravneet Chahal and Omjee Star Studios, the film has been directed by Mandeep Benipal.
Like Dakuaan Da Munda, the second part of the film is also based on an autobiography book. The film has been written by Narinder Ambersaria and is based on the real life story of Manga Singh Antal. The movie shows the hurdles in the life of a drug addict. The film will hit the cinemas on 27 May 2022.
The lead stars of the movie- Dev Kharoud and Japji Khaira, in an exclusive interview with Punjabi Mania, shared many details about the upcoming movie.
Kharoud discussed how the title of the film is close to his heart and how ‘Dakuaan Da Munda’ has a become a brand in the Punjabi cinema. He also shared that how he has build an image of an action hero in the industry because of his performances in films like Rupinder Gandhi, DSP Dev, Blackia, Dakuaan Da Munda and many more. He also expressed his desire to explore the genre of romance and to play a romantic hero on the big screen.
In the interview, both Kharoud and Japji Khaira shared their journeys while shooting the film, and exuberantly discussed the part where both of them had to do romantic scenes in the movie. Japji spilled the beans on how she would give tips to Kharoud to play the romantic scenes more comfortably. Both the stars shared a fun chemistry in the interview, and definitely in the film.
On being asked the reason why Japji chose the role in Dakuaan Da Munda 2, she replied that she chose the role because of her trust in the Dakuaan Da Munda brand and also because the role gave her an opportunity to play two contrasting shades in one film- one of a young lively volleyball player in the university and the other of being a helpless wife of an addict.
The duo shared a fun banter in the interview and discussed various things related to the film. They also openly spoke about the negative reaction that the trailer and posters of the movie are receiving from a small sect of audience. Both actors discussed their future projects in the interview and vividly and expressed their excitement for the upcoming movie.
