Chamkila’s popularity is on a rise after years of his death once again and that’s all because of Diljit Dosanjh starrer latest movie Chamkila that got released on Netflix recently. Imtiaz Ali has developed an awesome screenplay through the Chamkila movie and people can’t get enough of the artist even now. 

There are many news and rumors about the artist and his wife but the latest news has come out before the audience which has surprised everyone. According to the reports, popular Bollywood actress Sridevi was a huge fan of Chamkila. You might be thinking about the surprise in it. Well, not just this. Sridevi was a fan of Chamkila and wanted to work with him so badly. 

If a friend of Chamkila called Sawarn Sivia is to be believed then the news is true. ‘Sridvevi was a huge fan of Chamkila ever since she saw him perform live for the first time and wanted him to be the hero for one of her films. However, Amar Singh turned down the offer by saying he didn’t know Hindi. Sridevi even offered to get a Hindi trainer for him’, reported Chamkila’s friend. 

Sridevi wanted to train Chamkila in Hindi language for about a month but Chamkila denied the offer saying that he would lose Rs 10 Lakh in that time. Sridevi then agreed to do a Punjabi film with the superhit artist but that couldn’t happen due to some reasons. 

That was a time and then it is today, when both the legendary artists are not among us. Sridevi passed away in 2018 and Chamkila was shot to death, alongwith his wife, in 1988.
