The ‘Soorma’ of the Punjabi industry has a ‘Good News’ for his fans. Popular actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh will soon join the list of celebrities who have wax models of their own at the prestigious museum of Madame Tussauds, Delhi. Diljit has not only won hearts through his work in the Punjabi industry, but has also become a Bollywood sensation with his amazing performances in all his Bollywood projects.

Diljit has been going from strength to strength in Bollywood after he made a prolific debut in Udta Punjab. Despite of the fact that Udta Punjab was a multi-starrer and had big names from Bollywood, Diljit managed to captivate the audience and make a mark with his brilliant acting and charisma. After Udta Punjab, Diljit has also worked in Bollywood projects such as Phillauri and Soorma, which also recieved a stupendous response from the audience.

The unveiling of Diljit’s wax statue had been scheduled for 28 February 2019, but it had to be postponed due to the war hysteria created in the country. Both Diljit Dosanjh and the official handle of Madame Tussauds Delhi , took it to their social media to inform the fans regarding the same.

Diljit’s statue will be placed In the music zone of the Madame Tussauds Delhi. The specialist team took over 200 measurements of the actor and numerous photographs in order to produce his wax figure. Diljit’s statue will stand amongst the wax statues of eminent personalities such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and many more.

Once launched, Diljit’s figure will take its place in history as the first turbaned figure in Madame Tussauds Delhi. It’s a great moment of proud for the whole Punjabi industry. Diljit is also very excited for the unveiling of the statue. He has shared his happiness and excitement with the fans through various Instagram posts. The new date of the unveiling of the wax figure has not been decided and would be disclosed soon. On the work front, Diljit will be seen in the Punjabi film Shadaa this year. He would also be seen in the Bollywood project Good News, which also stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Other than this, he will also play the lead opposite Kriti Sanon in the Bollywood movie Arjun Patiala.
