The movie is a biopic of Punjabi artist Amar Singh Chamkila, who was murdered in 1988 alongside his wife Amarjot Kaur. While Parineeti will take on the role of Amarjot in the movie, Diljit will portray Amar Singh.

For the previous three months, Parineeti has been occupied with her preparation for the part. Together, Diljit and Parineeti have conducted a number of workshops. Now we learn that the movie will eventually start production and last for two months. The shoot began on December 11, and today Dosanjhawala shared the still from the shoot.
