DSP Dev Preview: Punjabi Mania present before you full movie preview of upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘DSP Dev’.
There is no going in a safe house about the fact that the subject of cop-drama still hasn’t found its share of success in the Punjabi film industry. That being said, the same might witness a change in the form of ‘DSP Dev’ on this Friday.
The movie will mark the third partnership of director Mandeep Benipal and actor Dev Kharoud in the last calendar year. Them delivering successful ventures in the past bodes well for the imminent movie. Benipal disclosing the movie’s ‘larger than life action‘ in a recent interview further intrigues one to visit the cinema halls on July 5.
Apart from the protean Dev Kharoud, DSP Dev also stars Mehreen Pirzada, Manav Vij, Aman Dhaliwal, Girija Shankar, Shavinder Mahal, Nita Mohindra, Tarsem Paul, Lakha Lehri, Mahavir Bhullar, Sukhwinder Raj, Ram Aujla, Rajiv Rishi, Deep Sehgal, Milanpreet Kaur and Hashneen Chauhan.
It is worth mentioning that DSP Dev will mark Pirzada’s debut in the Punjabi industry. Manav Vij, who is playing an outright villain for the first time, is a role which is being specially looked forwarded to in DSP Dev.

The movie will address the issue of drug abuse in the state. It is the same subject which will see Kharoud and Vij coming to blows with each other on the day after tomorrow. While the movie promises a lot on paper, the onus now lies on Inderpal Singh’s story and screenplay. Whether the meaty trailer gets converted into a worth-watching movie will only be known after watching it in cinema halls.
DSP Dev has been produced by Ravneet Kaur Chahal, Rajesh Kumar, Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu under the banner of DreamReality Movies and White Hill Studios. Despite the release of Sagar S Sharma’s ‘Jugni Yaaran Di’ on the same day, DSP Dev should be able to dominate the box-office.
Having said that, the super success of ‘Shadaa’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ might possess a challenge for both DSP Dev and Dev Kharoud. Given the appreciation the trailer has received, expect Kharoud’s loyal fan base to come good for him.
