Everyday was a Memorable Day: Harsh Kataria

Making his debut with biggies Amrinder Gill and Honey Singh, Harsh Kataria is all set to entertain you with his upcoming comical movie, Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22. He spoke to Punjabi Mania recently.

1. Tell us about your background?
I was born in Amritsar, the holy place. I completed my primary education at Sacred Heart Boys School, Dalhousie, and Secondary from Springfield Public School, Ambala. Now I am pursuing my Bachelors in Business Administration from London.

2. How did you have a break into the Punjabi Movie Industry?
As my father is a big Punjabi Producer, so I was interested in this field from the very beginning. I got into talks with my dad and here am I now in TM22MT22.

3. In your first movie you are sharing fame with the likes of Amrinder Gill and Honey Singh. How excited are you about the movie?
I am a big fan of both of them and their work. And I am really looking forward to it. It’s like a dream coming true for me and I am very excited about the movie.

4. What is the movie about and your role in the movie?
Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 is a story of two brothers living a hog heaven life on foreign soil. And suddenly things turn around as they are sent to Punjab by their father for some difficult work. I meet them in Punjab. It’s a comical movie. My character however is a secret for now.

5. Amrinder Gill and Honey Singh are the biggies in the Industry. How was your experience with them on the sets?
On the set’s it was a hell of an experience, as it is a big thing in itself to be with them. It was really fun, every day something new, sharing, eating and doing stuff together; it surely was a big moment. They are fully fun to hang out with, never had anything like that before.

6. Any memorable moment from the making of the movie?
Yeah, every day was a new memorable movement. If I were to choose one, I recall the day when Honey Paaji had to slap me 3 times for a scene and I had to give an odd expression. We did that shot 15 times, every time there was a problem. Sometimes the director was laughing, sometimes me and sometimes someone else. Getting slapped for 14 retakes, my head started aching and I learned that day, people do get hurt to show comedy. A headache day but we did it finally and it came out to be a big funny scene.

7. So what are your future plans after TM22MT22?
As if now I have not decided anything yet. I am a student pursuing my course and my first priority studies. But still, I might work on some other projects as well side by side. Depends….
