The Punjabi cinema is all set to add new entrant amongst its list of thoughtful and scenario changing films with movie Fight Back from the production houses Liasion Production and Dream Pictures Entertainment.
Announcing the launch of movie here today, producer Dovinder Singh and Director Gurcharan Virk said that the movie was an eclectic combination of mystery, action, drama and romance. Well-known playwright and doyen of Punjabi theatre and literature Pali Bhupinder Singh has penned story, screenplay and dialogues, added Dovinder Singh.
The movie has an array of finest of Punjabi cinema with lead actors Kartar Cheema, Anjana Sukhani, Harish Verma, Yograj Singh and Sardar Sohi. Fight Back would be maiden venture of actress Harman Boparai and actor Amandeep Singh, said director Gurcharan Virk, the man who created and shot the famous Airtel’s tagline Har Ek Friend Zaroori Hota Hai. Virk Associated with film industry since 1983 has done 14 Telefilms, the trend of comedy in telefilms started with his “ Fauji DI Family”. Associate Director of National Award Winning Tele film ‘Madhi Da Deeva’, has directed TV serials like Vaapsi, Kachi Kandh & Doraha, Has done over 350 Music Videos and written over 2000 songs
Lead actors Kartar Cheema and Harish Verma said that the movie would be shot in a span of 35 days starting from January 25. It would be extensively shot in the city beautiful Chandigarh and at the exotic locations of Malaysia, added actor Anjana Sukhani, who will add to the oomph factor of movie.
Veteran actor Yograj and Sardar Sohi added that the movie would reflect current crisis that grips the country. “It would be a reflection of the testing times we are living in,” said Yograj.
Debutants actress Harman Boparai and actor Amandeep added that they were looking forward to see movie go on floors and bask in the glory of its impending success. It would be released in the last week of September.
Sunny Singh will lend music to the film. Director Gurcharan Virk, who was the associate director of national award winning tele film Madhi Da Deeva, will pen the lyrics of its songs. Deepak Sharma will direct the action sequences, which would be of one of their own kind.
