Director Sharant Art, who had made his directorial debut with 'Rabb Da Radio 2' (2020), will put forward his second Punjabi movie in Galwakdi. It is worth mentioning that Jassar, Gabbi and Sharan have worked together in a music video titled 'Kajla' (2020).
Apart from the lead pair, Galwakdi will comprise of BN Sharma, Raghveer Boli, Rupinder Rupi, Honey Mattu, Sukhi Chahal, Seema Kaushal, Prakash Gadhu and Harby Sangha in pivotal roles.
Galwakdi Preview
While the title's literal translation to English means 'hug', there is no hiding to the fact that Galwakdi will touch upon the romantic genre. Shot mostly in the UK, Galwakdi promises to be a visual treat adding more meat to Jassar and Gabbi's enigmatic chemistry.
A primary reason behind the usage of the word 'enigmatic' is that a lot of viewers might have felt that the makers have revealed quite a lot in the 196-second trailer. In what isn't the case in the general run of things, one expects Galwakdi to embrace some unforeseen sequences especially towards the climax.
Galwakdi has been produced by Manpreet Johal, Ashu Munish Sahni, Aniket Kawade and Savin Sarin under the banners of Vehli Janta Films and Omjee Star Studios. With no major Hindi movie releasing in cinema halls tomorrow, Galwakdi sole competition remains Manvir Brar's 'Lekh'.
