The Punjabi industry has witnessed a handful of comedy dramas this year. As 2019 comes towards the end, another comedy flick titled Gidarh Singhi is all set for it’s release. The movie was announced earlier this year and the shooting of the film had started in February. The makers of the film have played it simple and safe by choosing ‘comedy’ as it’s genre, which is one of the most loved bracket of films for the Punjabi audience.
The movie has been made under the banner of Dreamspark Movies and has been produced by Abhishek Tyagi. Helmed by the ‘Saadey CM Saab’ director Vipin Parashar, the movie happens to be a multi-starrer project with an illustrious and celebrated starcast. Having directed ‘Saadey CM Saab’ in 2016, Gidarh Singhi will be Parashar’s second Punjabi movie as a director. The script of the movie has been written by Parashar and Abhishek Tyagi. Gidarh Singhi will be distributed worldwide by the Omjee Star Studios.
The stellar starcast of the film includes the Kake Da Viyah and Kala Shah Kala fame singer turned actor- Jordan Sandhu, who will be seen playing the lead in the film. Renowned singer and actor Ravinder Grewal, who delivered an energetic performance in the film 15 Lakh Kadon Aauga this year, will be seen playing the parallel lead alongside Jordan Sandhu in the film. The female lead of the film will be played by the rising star of the Punjabi industry- Rubina Bajwa. After Laiye Je Yaarian, Munda Hi Chahida and Nanka Mel, ‘Gidarh Singhi’ will be Rubina’s fourth movie for the year 2019.
Other than the lead starcast, the film will also star renowned actors including Gurmeet Sajan, Saanvi Dhiman, Malkit Rauni, Prince Kanwaljit and Seema Kaushal. The movie will also mark the debut of actor Karn Mehta who will play a significant part in the film.
While Gidarh Singhi has been creating a lot of buzz these days, the makers unveiled an entertaining trailer of the movie and it is a complete roller coaster ride. The trailer marks a searing on screen chemistry between Jordan Sandhu and Rubina Bajwa, who will be seen sharing the silver screen for the first time in this film. The trailer revolves around a lucky charm- ‘Gidarh Singhi’, which is said to help in fulfilling wishes. The trailer shows a madhouse where everyone is keen on having the ‘Gidarh Singhi’, which is the centre of everybody’s attention in the film. The trailer shows the comedy and drama that is created as the lucky charm passes from one person to the other in the film, causing loads of madness, chaos, confusion and laughter.
The movie has an interesting and different storyline and concept. The film will hit the screens on 29 November this year. The team is super excited for the film and the fans are also eagerly looking forward to the movie.
