Humble Motion Pictures and Omjee Star Studios: Omjee Star Studios will distribute Humble Motion Pictures' three Punjabi movies in 2021.
It was last evening that Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal had hinted at announcing multiple movies under his home production banner in Humble Motion Pictures and in association with Omjee Star Studios. Grewal's post across social media platforms comprised of himself and Vinod Aswal and Omjee Star Studios' Munish Sahni and Aniket Kawade.
Grewal, who already has a few unreleased projects in several capacities, taking to his social media handles to announce more movies sounded intriguing from the word go. Knowing Grewal's tryst with announcements, it wouldn't have been a surprise if he had put forward a couple of new movies altogether.
Having said that, Grewal's latest announcement aims at the wise option of addressing the previously announced movies rather than putting more load on the production house by announcing new movies. As a result, Grewal has set forth a list of movies which will now release in 2021.
Humble Motion Pictures and Omjee Star Studios join hands
Grewal, who had announced 'Manje Bistre 3' earlier this year, hasn't made any change to the release date of the multi-starrer movie. Originally scheduled to release on April 9 next year, Manje Bistre 3 is Humble Motion Pictures' first release for 2021 at this point in time. With the movie yet to go on floors, one expects Grewal to begin its shoot in the upcoming months.
Directed by Baljit Singh Deo, Humble Motion Pictures' 'Maa' was originally slated to release on May 8 this year. However, the shooting of the movie was affected by the nationwide lockdown due to the novel COVID-19 pandemic. The movie has been postponed by exactly a year as it will now release on May 7 next year.
It is worth mentioning that Maa was one of the eight movies announced by Humble Motion Pictures in an astounding film announcement in 2018. The movie will witness Grewal, Divya Dutta, Babbal Rai, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Aarushi Sharma and Vadda Grewal in titular roles.

Originally scheduled to release alongside Diljit Dosanjh-starrer 'Jodi' on June 26 this year, Binnu Dhillon and Zareen Khan-starrer 'Phatte Dinde Chak Punjabi' was subsequently moved to July 17. Another film whose shoot is yet to begin, Phatte Dinde Chak Punjabi will now release on July 16 next year. Directed by Smeep Kang, the movie will be among Kang and Dhillon's five upcoming Punjabi movies.

Other forthcoming movies under Humble Motion Pictures
Apart from the aforementioned movies, Grewal's production house also has other pending movies in 'Posti', 'MIB - Kale Kacchian Wale', 'Warning' and 'Carry On Jatta 3'.
Slated to release on March 20 this year, it was due to coronavirus that Rana Ranbir's 'Posti' was postponed by Grewal. With the movie completely ready, it should be among the first Punjabi movies to release whenever the cinema halls are allowed to open in India.
Starring Ranjit Bawa and Sapna Pabbi in lead roles, debutant director Maneesh Bhatt's MIB - Kale Kacchian Wale should have released this summer had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic. While the shooting of the movie had begun in January, Punjabi Mania understands that some portions are highly likely to be pending.
Grewal, who converted a laudable web-series titled Warning into a movie, will himself be seen in a pivotal role in it. Originally scheduled to release on June 19, it should also find a release date this year as Grewal had resumed its shooting once the unlock phase commenced in India.

As far as the third part of the biggest Punjabi franchise (Carry On Jatta) in Carry On Jatta 3 is concerned, Grewal had announced earlier this year that it would release on June 25 next year. That being said, with Manje Bistre 3 and Phatte Dinde Chak Punjabi releasing on April 9 and July 16 respectively, it would be interesting to see if Grewal decides to release three tent-pole movies within as many months in 2021.
