November 11 will witness the 13th theatrical clash in the Punjabi film industry this year. A trend which is set to continue due to the ever-increasing number of releases among Punjabi movies, it will see 'Kulche Chole' being at the forefront in Punjab's cinema halls tomorrow.
The selling point of the movie during its ballyhoo creation process was it introducing two lead actors namely Dilraj Grewal and Jannat Zubair. Not just the lead pair, the supporting cast of the movie also comprises of lesser known names in Jaswant Singh Rathore, Deedar Gill, Love Gill, Gurinder Makna, Ansh Tejpal and Sumit Gulati.
A movie which has provided ample acting opportunities for the aforementioned names will have to stand tall on the script and filmmaking aspects to be liked by audiences. As a result, throwing gargantuan onus on writer-director Simranjit Singh Hundal. With his last theatrical release titled 'Nanka Mel' (2019) releasing three years ago, a lot is being expected out of Hundal's fifth theatrical release as a director.

For starters, it is not a surprise that a movie based in Amritsar has been titled Kulche Chole. A rom-com highly likely to comprise of a social message as well, the movie has shown glimpses of getting both the things right in the trailer.
With Grewal, Zubair and Rathore appearing to dominate the screentime in the movie, the industry will have eyeballs glued to their work for potential collaborations in the future.
Kulche Chole has been produced by Sumeet Singh under his label of Saga Studios. A Seven Colors worldwide release, the movie has it in it to benefit from the Indian cricket's team ICC T20 World Cup 2022 elimination earlier in the day. With people likely to leave their homes especially on Sunday, it could result in an enhanced footfall for Kulche Chole which is likely to receive competition from Maneesh Bhatt's 'Chobbar' and Sooraj Barjatya's 'Uunchai' (Hindi) at the box-office tomorrow.
